Higher Diploma in Advocacy Program

Program Overview:

The diploma aims to prepare distinguished lawyers, especially since the legal profession is one of the noble professions upon which the rights of individuals and communities are built. It holds great importance and a distinguished status within Saudi society.

Program Objectives:

  1. Understanding the role of a lawyer, their duties, rights, and responsibilities, and the principles upon which legal service costs are determined. It aims to prepare scientifically qualified competencies in the field of law, advocacy, and legal consultations, especially given the scarcity of legal training centers in the southern region in general.

  2. Scientifically preparing lawyers to contribute to cooperation with judicial authorities by familiarizing them with the jurisdictions of Saudi courts and other important aspects for lawyers.

  3. Preparing theoretical and field studies in the field of advocacy.

  4. Raising legal awareness among community members to save time and effort for judicial authorities.

  5. Contributing to meet the state's need for legally qualified professionals and cooperating with legal departments in government entities to train employees.

Program Nature:

The program is directed towards those holding a Bachelor's degree in Sharia, Law, or similar fields who are currently working in the legal profession or wish to pursue a career in law. The diploma aims to scientifically prepare lawyers to cooperate with judicial authorities and familiarize practitioners with newly introduced systems by specialists in the Law Department, based on precise scientific principles to contribute to the development of the judiciary in general.

Program Importance:

  1. Saving time and effort for judicial authorities by spreading legal awareness within the community, especially the need for Saudi society for specialists in the field of advocacy to represent them before judicial bodies.

  2. The state's need for specialists in the field of legal and Sharia consultations, either through consultation centers or other means.

  3. Spreading legal awareness in a correct and positive manner.

  4. Addressing the evident gap in research and studies in the field of advocacy and the legal field in general.

Program Name: Higher Diploma Program in Advocacy.

Degree Awarded: Diploma in Advocacy.

Admission Requirements for the Diploma in Advocacy Program: To be admitted to the program, the applicant must meet the following conditions:

  1. The applicant must hold a university degree in law, legal systems, or Sharia from a Saudi university or another recognized university abroad, with a grade of at least "Good."

  2. The applicant must have good conduct and behavior.
